Slap in the Face
I was just slapped in the face with a healthy dose of bronchitis. I can't tell if I am lucky or unlucky because my two roommates have tested positive for Covid. I have tested myself four times over the past 6 days, and I keep testing negative every time. What's weird is that I have the worst symptoms of everyone. As the week went on, my cough kept getting stronger, and I started to hear myself wheezing every time I did something. At night when I'm lying in bed, it sounds like I am a deflating balloon.
I went to the doctor today, and I, in fact, have bronchitis. He did say that I may have Covid, but the antigen test we got was not picking it up. That, to me, seems a little wacky because if I had it, I feel like I would test positive by now.
I will be quarantined in my room for the next week because my cough is so strong that people in my classes feel uncomfortable. I don't blame them at all. I know I would feel uncomfortable if someone was coughing the way I am in class.
I have to go back to studying and my online classes but until next time.
